On the Cusp of a New Thing

On the Cusp of a New Thing

Matthew 21:1–11

We should embrace the excitement that comes with the promise of something new while not losing sight of the path ahead.

Cusp – POINT, APEX: such as : a point of transition from one historical period : TURNING POINT; also : EDGE, VERGE

Point 1

The cusp of a new thing is an exciting time.

  • Promises are fulfilled
  • Potential realized
  • Ruts ended
  • Goals achieved
  • Wishes come true

God created me for and with a purpose.

I am unique in my ability to fill the roles designed for me.

The world needs what I, when operating in my sweet spot, have to contribute.

God wants to walk with me intimately as I discover my place.

Point 2

The cusp of a new thing isn’t the end.

Point 3

You’ve got to do the work when the parade is over.

When the triumphal entry was over, Jesus worked instead of resting.

Meditation, Prayer, Fasting, and Study helps us to properly:

Assess
Commit
Organize
Reflect
Navigate

To perform the work.

All of this done inside of a faithful, biblical community.
