To become who we want to be we must understand the process of transition. Change is not the most difficult part, it’s the transition.
Transition is a 3-part internal process that accompanies any change.
Philippians 3:3-14
“…For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ…”
Philippians 3:8-9
- Ending – letting go of old ways and old identities. Every transition begins with an ending.
- Neutral Zone – In-between time when the old is gone, but the new is not fully functional.
- New Beginning – Coming out of transition an into the new reality.
