finishSTRONG

finishSTRONG

God has placed something in all of us. We have been given an unlimited potential to be, do, and go.

How do I grow from an acorn to the forest that God sees?

We have to make sure that the acorn is not rotting from the inside out! It can have all the potential in the world, but if it’s rotten, it’s useless.

Question 1

What does finish strong mean?

To finish strong is to actualize the potential that God has placed within us to be, do, and go.

Knowing:

  1. Who I’m created to be?
  2. What I’m created to do?
  3. Where I’m supposed to go?

[Ecclesiastes 7:8]

Question 2

Whose mission am I committed to?

Am I committed to Christ’s mission? Or am I looking for Christ to be committed to my mission?

[Joshua 5:13-14]

Christ’s mission is to reconcile man to God.

[2 Corinthians 5:18-19]

Do people make your heart burn?

[Revelation 2:1-5]

The potential God has given us was given that we beg people to be reconciled to God.

Question 3

What are my obstacles?

[Hebrews 12:1]

Two obstacles we have to overcome weight and sin.

A weight is anything that will distract, deceive, and/or discourage you from reaching your full potential. If left unchecked, they will become triggers to sin. There are two types of weights, external weights and internal weights.

Sin is to transgress or break God’s law

[1 John 3:4]

Our biggest obstacle is us. Weight and sin have no power unless we give them power.

[James 1:14-15]

[Romans 6:12-13]

The moments where we choose whether we will obey the Spirit or the flesh, are opportunities for growth and development.

[Matthew 11:28-30]

God knows what we can handle and will not put anything on us that you cannot bear.

[1 Corinthians 10:13]

What he does place on you is for the purpose of keeping reliant on him.
