Where Do We Begin?

We exist to honor God by making more disciples of Jesus Christ.

A disciple follows Christ (loves God).

A disciple is changed by Christ (loves others)

A disciple is on mission for Christ (serves the world).

Circle of life for believer

12:00 – begins as a person spiritually dead

1:00 – spiritual infant

3:00 – spiritual child

6:00 – spiritual young adult

9:00 – spiritual parent

Spiritually dead:
Everyone begins here.
The spiritually dead have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

I don’t believe there is a God.
There are many ways to get to God.
I’ve been a good person, so it’ll be all good when I die.
I’m spiritual, but I don’t connect with any one religion.

Spiritual infant:

Spiritual young adult

Like physical young adults, they are not too far removed from childhood, and can still periodically display some signs.

In my devotions, I came across something I gave a question about

Look how many people were at church today. Wow! The closest spot I could find was blocks away.

I feel God is calling me to serve in other ministries.

Sis. Tanika missed Wed in the word. She’s been sick so I said we’d come by with food.

Spiritual parent
At this point believers have been prepared for the process.

Pray for me as I spend time with him in the word.

Always looking for opportunities to make disciples of others.

Identify the stages of growth.
Recognize the phrases people use in each phase.
Help person develop and move forward.
