What strong foundation can we build our faith on to withstand the pressures of life?
Faith doesn’t have to be fragile
Faith has proof
John 9:1-41
The people assumed his blindness was a consequence of someone’s sin. Jesus says no it was not.
Evidence: V3-6 Jesus said he was born blind so the evidence of God’s power could be seen in this world. Don’t focus on the why but the what. Believe in the evidence that God has already shown to be there through God’s past works.
Journey: everyone’s journey is different, God sent the man to the pool for healing, perhaps it’s to send the message that our journey will not look the same for everyone.
Testing/Continue to trust: Journey doesn’t stop at the pool, when your faith is tested remember the evidence, some will see the evidence in you a s choose to ignore it, sometimes you start to wonder if there will be consequences for going outside of the will of God, sometimes you have great loss or tragedy.
We have a savior that can identify with every hardship that we can face.
Doesn’t require us to have all the answers.
Jesus is the answer to all of our questions.
Points to who God is
The pharisees were missing who God was because they focused on the rules not God.
