Analogy: There are many cold medicines in the aisles of our favorite store, but there is no cure for the common cold. They might make you feel better but they do not cure the cold.
The ones who think they feel better, are the main folks who go out and infect other people.
God has not only explain, sin’s nature, but provided the only remedy.

Sin is a condition. If you don’t understand what sin is, you won’t understand how to combat it.
If I only understand sin as what I do, I am only attacking symptoms not the disease.
Sin is a condition. We see sin as our individual acts against God, but God sees them as symptoms of our heart’s condition.
If you’ve actually been transformed because of your relationship with Jesus Christ, you will fill conflicts when you sin.
People run to church like it’s cold medicine – continued analogy. Church is not a quick fix for the thing I did. You did the thing because of what’s on the inside of you.
