| What Makes Us Harvest |
Harvest Christian
Fellowship, as a local church body, is guided by these values:
Service
We value being
equipped for, and actively involved in the work of ministry, both inside and
outside of the church. (Matthew 9:38; 10:5; Matthew 20:25-28; John 13:3-5;
Nehemiah 2:17-18)
Maturity
We value maturing
in our relationship with the Lord and understanding our call as Christians.
(Ephesians 4:13-15; 1 Corinthians 14:20; Hebrews 5:14; Hebrews 6:1; 1 Peter
2:2; 2 Peter 3:18)
Fellowship
We value
being a relationship-driven community that encourages fellowship with, and care
for one another. (Ephesians 4:1-6; Ephesians 4:25-29; Exodus 19:6)
Knowledge
We value the
study and knowledge of Scripture, holding these to be important to the growth
of our individual and collective lives. (2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Timothy 3:16;
Matthew 28:20)
Evangelism
We value striving
to see all persons come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
(Matthew 9:35,36; John 3:16; Matthew 28:19)
Wholeness
We value
the wholeness of every person, desiring that everyone live with nothing
missing, broken, or compromised. (3 John 2; 2 Peter 1:3; Philippians 4:11; 2
Corinthians 13:11; Colossians 1:28)
Worship
We value
our ability to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind, in music,
song, dance, and every activity of life. (Matthew 22:37; John 4:23, 24;
Deuteronomy 6:5)
Team
We value working
alongside one another to accomplish ministry goals, knowing that no one person
is able to complete the mission of the church alone. (1 Corinthians 12:12;
Romans 12:10, 16; Nehemiah 3)
