About Harvest

After faithfully serving in ministry, under two senior pastors, at The Resurrection Center for over sixteen years, Pastors Meredith and Doris Griffin answered God's call to plant a church. Upon receiving the blessing of their pastor, they set out to obey God's will and plan for a transformational ministry. Pastors Meredith and Doris Griffin followed the plan given to them by God, and began Harvest Christian Fellowship in New Castle County, Delaware.

Harvest Christian Fellowship began as a Bible Study on January 3, 2007 in the Christiana Hilton, with twelve people forming the initial group of members. Three months later, on April 1, 2007 (Palm Sunday), the inaugural Sunday worship service was held in the cafeteria of Brookside Elementary School, with nearly one hundred persons in attendance.

In September 2008, Harvest Christian Fellowship joined The Wesleyan Church, merging with the former New Hope Wesleyan Church. Pastors Meredith and Doris Griffin, along with the leaders and members of Harvest Christian Fellowship are committed to leading persons to wholeness in the Lord. They believe that only whole people can truly serve as agents of transformation in the world. The hand of the Lord has continued to bless Harvest with growth in worship attendance, and in outreach. Men, women, children, and families are finding that their spiritual and temporal needs are being met in an intimate atmosphere. Harvest is known to be a place where everyone matters, and is part of the family. Whether you are a family of one or four, you are family at Harvest. God's best is yet to come.
